Irish rock royalty U2 have announced that Jay-Z will be a special guest on their upcoming ’360 Degrees’ tour of Australia. The rapper, already a household name in his own right with stellar releases like ‘The Black Album,’ will perform for about an hour before making way for Dublin’s finest.

The tour takes place in December this year and will take in all major Antipodean music venues, namely Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Perth and Auckland in New Zealand.

U2′s live shows are already the stuff of legend, and their ability to keep booking the big guns shows that they simply get better with age. In fact, the unlikely pairing have already performed together at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin where they captivated the crowd with a performance of U2′s hit ‘Sunday Bloody Sunday.’
