These New Puritans are back with a new song, Attack Music, taken from their album Hidden.

Heavy on the bass, it’s a pounding chant not to be listened to if you’re hungover. A decent soundsystem is also required to get the full joy. These are both mistakes I made – forcing me to pull out my tinny earphones after just a minute.

This was hugely unfair though. When I corrected my mistakes I found a well put together piece, perhaps a bit more plodding than other tracks on the new album, but not a song to skip past.

So here’s the video. Directed by Matthew Stone, it often looks like the band is pretending to be shot in slow motion like kids playing soldiers……not sure if this is deliberate.
