Since becoming an overnight sensation on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ in 2009 it’s fair to say that the move from obscurity to international fame hasn’t been easy for Susan Boyle. The singing Scot has been the subject of a number of tabloid stories over the past year, most of them focusing on breakdowns caused by her hectic schedule and public notoriety.

And it seems the ‘hairy angel’ has suffered further ridicule at the hands of the general public on a train from Edinburgh travelling to her home at Blackburn, Lothian. According to the Sun, the incident happened on Sunday afternoon and reduced the star to tears.

The paper reports that Susan responded: “I’m normally patient but I am about to greet, greet, greet. I don’t normally get angry with people. I’m ashamed of you all – shut up. I’m warning you, it’s not funny. You wouldn’t like it.”

However, this seemed to make little difference as passengers continued to heckle her and take pictures on mobile phones.

A fellow passenger claims:  ”Susan was minding her own business on the train. Some people were taking pictures. There were people laughing at her – it was not nice. People noticed she was sobbing. Something was upsetting her”

Susan’s most recent studio album ‘The Gift’ was released in November 2009, but since then she seems to have largely disappeared from view.
