We’re never quite sure whether Sophie Ellis-Bextor has gone away or not. Every single seems to be a sort of come back song, and Not Giving Up On Love isn’t any different.
Bit more of a clubby effort as she’s teamed up with Armin Van Burren (he’s big in Holland), but also a bit forgettable. The video just seems to be her constantly lolling about on a boat.
Expect a thousand remixes.

The song isn’t forgettable at all. It’s just an addition to one of her long list of amazing songs. Yes, the thing with Sophie is that she hasn’t had a hit since Catch You and that was more than 3 years ago, so everything seems like a come-back single to some people. But it’s not.
She never really goes away. Her usual time-gap between albums is 2-3 years. If she takes any longer, then you can call it “going away”.
So far, she has had a couple of releases coming out one after the other.
June 09 – Heartbreak Make Me A Dancer (part of the 4th album)
Feb 10 – Can’t Fight This Feeling (part of the 4th album)
May 10 – Bittersweet (lead single of the 4th album)
Aug 10 – Not Giving Up On Love(part of the 4th album)
She’ll have her second solo single soon and her album following that in October. This project has releases by DJ’s featuring Sophie.. She didn’t really go away. Can’t Fight This Feeling was released in France and some parts of Europe and it’s doing fairly well everywhere. Look up wiki for it’s charting. It will be released in the UK sometime during the course of the album.
