Simon Cowell and Katy Perry are having a massive love in – which adds fuel to the rumour she’ll be making an appearance on this years live X Factor.

According to The News of The World she says she “just loves Simon” before going on to gush:

“Simon and Russell actually do have lots of the same characteristics, so it’s not surprising I’ve got a soft spot for him…They’re both really confident and have that brilliant sarcastic sense of humour. I find them both really entertaining.”

While Cowell has recently been commenting on how feisty Katy, having her “own opinion” which he likes. Given he is also reported to have commented to Dannii and Cheryl they have to be more forthright in their views on the show, and after her success on American Idol, an appearance by Katy in the live shows, wont be all that surprising.
