Olly Murs has hit back at comments made by his twin brother that claimed the singer had forgotten his family and let fame go to his head.

Accused by Ben Murs-Hart of being a ‘self-absorbed sell-out,’ the X-factor star has indicated that nothing could be further from the truth.

Expressing himself on social-networking website Twitter, Murs wrote: “Can’t believe my own blood, my own family has sold a story on me,” adding that the actions of his twin were ‘disgusting.’

Murs later composed himself and admitted to a newspaper that his angry rant had been made ‘in the heat of the moment’ and that he had deleted the post to avoid causing further upset to his family.

Murs went on to imply that the feud between him and Ben had been simmering for a while and has little to do with him or his appearances on the popular reality show.
