We – like most of the sane, music-appreciating world – love Radiohead. So much in fact, that when the Harry Patch song hit the airwaves we refused to acknowledge it as a Radiohead song due to its astounding level of awfulness. You can’t knock their motives, and it’s a brilliant gesture, but it was truly dreadful.
It seems, though, that the band themselves have realised this and decided to rectify things by leaking something so mind-bogglingly back-to-their-best that it will hopefully eclipse their previous mess. “Alright,” they probably thought, “we’ll make up for you listening to Thom pleasure himself for five minutes by releasing something that’ll blow your mind into next week”.
And it does, too. Kudos to Musos Guide for the find, and kudos to Greenplastic.com for pointing out that the track’s nfo file included the words “rls date…2009-08-17″. Following on from Yorke’s recent comments that they won’t be making any more albums, the words “PR” and “offensive” spring to mind.
Anyway, the new song is called These Are My Twisted Words and you can listen to it below.

Really good but sounds like an ‘older’ song from the Kid A recordings.
At first I thought it sounded like someone trying to be Radiohead until the vocals…and then I thought it sounded over-dubbed with an old vocal track.
Let the speculation commence.

I really like it, as you’ve probably noticed from the article.

Meh. I don’t think it’s very good at all.
