Who are you?
James: We are the Humour; a rock’n'roll band from the glorious city of Wakefield. We have James Taylor with vocals, Matthew Bagley on guitar, Dan Fahy behind the drums and Luke Richards on bass.
How did you come together?
Luke: we got to know each other in high school, just four kids who wanted to look cool,
Dan: I mean what’s more cool than “yeah, I’m in a band”?
Matt: Ladies love guys in bands, everyone knows that.
What was your first gig like?
James: Our first gig was in our high school assembly to about 150 14-year-olds all sat down, hands on knees, while we rocked out!
Luke: Oh yes it was electrifying!
Matt: God no, I almost made a nasty mess right there on stage, I was so nervous!
What plans do you have for the next six months?
James: Over the next few months we’re releasing our debut single One More Drink which will be available on October 19, which of course will be accompanied by some kick ass shows in Leeds and York to help promote it. Some live sessions on the radio may be in the cards too so keep an ear open.
How would you like the band to be remembered?
James: The Humour won’t need to be remembered because were going to be around forever, come on you knew that!
Dan: for not taking ourselves too seriously, and putting on a show!
Matt: For selling more records than the Beatles…
