Who are you?
We are RIOT:NOISE, the band consists of Marty on lead vocals, Scotty on lead guitar, Ashley on rhythm guitar, Freddy on bass, and Danny on drums.

How did you come together?
We’d all been playing in different bands for a few years, and some of us had played in bands together in the past. In mid-2007 things somehow all came together at the right time and the band just formed really quickly. After years of being in bands that didn’t have five members on the same page, RIOT:NOISE clicked right from day one.

What was your first gig like?
Our first gig was in August 2007 at the Louisiana in Bristol. We‘d pulled together a six song setlist and we were probably a bit rough round the edges as Freddy had only learnt the songs about a month before [the band orginally started out with a different bass player who didn’t work out] but that’s what RIOT:NOISE is all about, we are a bit rough round the edges! It was a great crowd mainly fans of our older bands wanting to see what we‘d come up with – and they must have been impressed because they continued to come to gigs and still spread the word now.

What plans do you have for the next six months?
Our new EP Fight The People will be released worldwide on November 16 as well as the video for the lead track Never Wrong. November’s a pretty big month for us – kicking off with being invited back to Music Live at the Birmingham NEC on the sixth. We‘re also coinciding the EP release with a UK tour supporting GUN starting in Wrexham on November 22 and ending in Glasgow on December 2. Next stop after that will be Wales to open the Hard Rock Hell festival on the third which will be our first time there so should be interesting! After the next few crazy months are over we’ll be looking forward to getting back to the studio and recording some new songs we‘ve been working on.

How would you like the band to be remembered?
We just wanna be remembered!
