Who are you?
We are Anavris, and we have me [Chris Alexander] on vocals and guitar, Neil Slorance on bass and backing vocals, Ben Fletcher on guitar, and Chris McKeown on drums.

How did you come together?
Myself and Neil met through a recommendation when looking for good band members and Ben and Chris [Alexander] work in the same music shop.

What was your first gig like?
Our first ever gig was so long ago now. However as I remember it, it was crazy. It was in a place called Chapelside in Airdrie, Scotland. The venue was pretty rammed and I remember on the last song someone came up on stage and said to me that one of my friends was getting beat up outside so I threw my guitar away and ran outside and there was this classic battle between the grunge kids and the chavs/neds. It was like Braveheart all over again.

What plans do you have for the next six months?
The next six months are gonna be exciting for us, we’ve been touring in support of our new record 11 Eyes Of A Simple Man which is released in October. When that comes out we’re going to tour as much as possible, we’re even gonna try get over to Ireland for the first time and maybe back to Belgium. For main land UK I think we will be doing another tour around November/December time.

How would you like the band to be remembered?
I want this band to be remembered for bringing all sorts of people together: old people, young people, kids, students etc. I want us to be remembered for our hard work and sticking to our guns through all the fads and grim times.
