I’m not sure what part I found funnier in Beth’s post. Her misspelling of the word ‘article’ in the first sentence of her rebuttal, or her emphatic “But this is FALL OUT BOY!” quote towards the end.

Admittedly they produced some crap, but within the genre they were fairly high in the list of frontrunners. I guess a more accurate version would have been “any non-emo music fan”, though if your rebuttal would hinge around the two being synonymous I would ask you to address your priorities, as emo music is (albeit) depressingly one of the largest genres on the globe at the moment.
I liked some of their stuff too. Was cute.
I also recommend you check out Studio ’99′s version of Beat It for “the worst cover”. It’s horrifying ;D!

Scott, yes, you’re probably right. I wasn’t trying to distract attention away from the fact that it might be naked-profiteering, but, I still enjoyed some of their stuff, and I didn’t much hold with the implication that you have to have no taste to like ‘em.
Fortunately for me, Wentz’s label produces a lot of stuff that I really do quite like (and am unembarrassed to admit).

Personally, i think Fall out boy have made some amazing music – they are my favourite band, i hate the way people have to say horible things about them because they’re ‘emo’, if you havn’t got anything nice to say don’t bother saying anything.
If you don’t like them theres no point, coming across this and bothering to leave a nasty comment, to be honest because if you really didn’t like them you wouldn’t bother, i wouldn’t, the only other reason is to upset people, or make a spectacle of things and i think that is completely pathetic.

You guys are idiots. Spellind doesnt make the person and beth is spot on. FOB are awesome. Beat It was brilliant and to be fair every band tries to go a different angle and ends up making a shit record but you know what all of you guys out there are NOT talented enough to be in a band so have no idea how hard it is to do a 3 gigs or more a week and make each one of them brilliant.
