"critics know jack about his album" Apart from having listened to it several times and calling upon years of experience to create an informed opinion on it. Other than that, jack shit.

I've been impressed by his singles from the album. Some 90's style unashamed dance stuff. Reminds me of Sash, Chicane, Darude and such.

To suggest that all music hacks are rich kids however is utter lunacy. I'm starting to think the man may very well be paranoid after this latest outburst.

Some of those writing in the national publications who haven't been kind to him are likely to be middle aged men. They may give him a bad review because they've heard it all before because, let's face it, most pop music around at the moment is reguritated. The journos might be rich after a long and respected career but, for the most part, journalists are far from rich. Especially reviewers. Has Harris ever seen a journalist's pay slip?

Being rich doesn't come into it. If critics don't like it it's because, in their informed opinion, it's wank. It certainly doesn't mean other people aren't allowed to like it though. A review is merely a suggestion, an opinion from one person.

My initial reaction is that only the most insecure and chart-conscious of musicians will really give enough of a toss about what the reviewers say to rant about it in the public domain.

yes, im typing this from my scrooge mcduck-esque swimming pool of money.

ive liked his last 2 singles but he doesnt help himself with stuff like this. Artists should be discouraged from twittering, seriously affects credability.
