It seems that pop’s most Scottish man has thrown his toys out of the pram this morning.
Harris’ beef is with the British Phonographic Industry (BPI for brevity’s sake) after his video of Ready For The Weekend was deleted from YouTube.
On his Twitter the Dizzee Rascal collaborator launched into a hilarious tirade, the highlights of which were…
“Youtube have now removed the ORIGINAL mix and video of Ready For The Weekend, due to a ‘copyright claim’.”
“There are videos up there that other people have uploaded of the same song, and they haven’t been removed!? But mine does!”
Soon Harris’ mirth was directed at the BPI…and what a potty mouth that young man has…
“It’s the fucking BPI. FUCK YOU ‘The BPI’ what have you ever done for anybody you useless shower of cunts”
“Fantastic use of time combating piracy by removing my own videos, what a fucking revelation. Fuck the Torrent sites, this is the way forward”
Our personal highlight, though, was the beautifully worded…
“The BPI are the worst organisation to ever walk the earth and their setup is shambolic and their online employees are all massive retards”
In the last few minutes Harris has, however, calmed down a wee bit. Someone must have given him his dummy. He tweeted…
“Ok I got a bit caught up in the heat of the moment. Sorry to employees of the BPI who aren’t massive retards. But please put my video back”
Bless.

In fairness, you can see where he’s coming from.

Yeah, but he didn’t have to be such a bellend about it.

All the power to him – I applaud someone who calls a spade a spade, and doesn’t pussyfoot around incompetent bureaucracies such as BPI. We need more artists to take control and stop being pushed around by dim-witted dinosaurs. BPI, get half a brain will you?

The sooner we get rid of thieving, good for nothing, profit making self obsessed organisations like the BPI and PRS, the sooner artists can actually make some money rather than having their monetary rights “collected” and then “held” by the BPI/PRS and never given out.
These people are nothing but thieves and conglomerates that have a monopoly of control over the music industry in the UK. We must get rid of them.
David Scott needs to do a bit of research

You complete fucktard, you have no idea. The BPI and PRS are both not for profit organisations. Your points are completely invalid. The reason companies such as the BPI/PRS exist is to mediate all parties involved in the general flow of the music business. Revenue collection in performing rights is beneficial and is not thieving or conglomerate
People are quick to judge small mistakes made rather than aknowledging all the other times industry bodies such as the PRS and the BPI have worked hard to support and protect musicians in the UK.
It is not a monopoly. Please go directly to jail you fucking cock.

@comment-5: You need to learn to put a point across without swearing.

They might be non-profit, but that doesn’t stop the PRS from trying to fuck small businesses over because they happen to have A radio, as far as i’m concerned the PRS can take a flying fuck. In fact i’m gonna file share my arse off. Fuck you PRS.
